Cool Stuff

I like how it started off smooth, and then went into the wilder, funk bass part. Excellent mixing too.

snayk responds:

Thanks!

project

im curious, what was the project for? the backround really reminds me of the sounds of "Engines of creation" by joe satriani

Dark-Frando responds:

A friend was working on a sort of puzzle game based on a sort of bomb diffusing. It was all supposed to be in an 8-bit style whatever happened to the game he was making I have no idea...

Hope that tells you what you were after ^_^

Bass rocks

The background bass was what reall made the song for me. It reminds me of a billy sheehan run. That gritty organic bass sound. Nice.

Dark-Frando responds:

The bass part of the song came in more at the end of when I was making it because I felt the song was missing that low sound in it. As for the actual sound of it, I originally thought it might not sound right when accompanying the entire song. So in then end I'm pretty proud of my little bass riff going on there ^_^

and thanks for commenting, it makes my day =D

Interesting

My only complaint is that it is too short, but it's a loop, I understand. With the musiv program (?) that your using, your really channeling those old midi sounds. i have a synth axe, but the sounds dont come out as well.

Dark-Frando responds:

That sound I had was originally a piano sound, but using my music program I tweaked the sound a little here and there and I came the this result that reminded me of an old NES game I used to play.

Thanks for taking the time to comment me ^_^

prog industrial

Is this all computer effects or did you play the backround guitar? if so what distortion effects you use? i love the tone.

ArisingFlame responds:

I actually played the guitar.
I'd have to look again, but the effects are all within the Line 6 TonePort UX1's software, Gearbox.
It has a slight delay, CAB/ER, And a gate effect. And of course a heavy distortion with high drive. And half presence.

Not too bad

The recording equipment could be better. Jw, what equipment do you use?

MonkeyV responds:

i hooked my amp up to the microphone slot on my computer.

Nice

Thanks for actually making a beat. My stuff isnt the best, but at least I make my own music. Same with you. how did you get the idea for this song?

Maedris91 responds:

Hey, thanks! My stuff aint that great either, i would like to use FL or Reaper or something, but its so confusing and im not gona pay to learn how to use it lol. I got the idea because i make me music off of emotions, when i feel a certain way, sad or such, i make a song, or try too lol. I felt broken inside, and it felt slow, and the song was ment to feel slowish, so hence Slowly Broken!

Old school Sonic

I was thinking this would work well for a earlier sonic game, agreed?

Dark-Frando responds:

I can see that quite clearly actually. The reason I thought it more space invaders was because of the spacey sound to it. But I do like the old retro classics, I could see a song like this one that I made being used for a space themed level or something ^_^

Thank you for the feedback, I greatly appreciate it =D

Punisher

Cool man, I was imagining this being used for a punisher soundtrack, lol. what effects, pedels, amp, etc did you use for the song?

Gunshy responds:

marshall guv'nor always, fl slayer leads...

Guitar

Its good. A few notes felt a bit off, but overall It was smooth. What equipment did you use?

TheReno responds:

I used FL studio. The instruments them selves were metal, acoustic nylon, syko, and dementia I think.
Glad you liked it.
